Nails Inc is one of the most popular companies specializing in Nail care in the UK. Polishes, masks, services and innovative ideas stand out on the market.
It took me a lot of online digging to find any information regarding their testing statement which didn’t provide satisfactory information anyway. Surprisingly, not many bloggers looked into the topic. The company doesn’t have a statement on their website neither.
In result, I decided to send Nails Inc an email and ask directly where they stand with animal testing. Their response arrived within less than an hour(!):
Hi Milena,
Thank you very much for your email.
Regarding your query concerning animal testing, we can confirm that Nails Inc does not test products or raw materials on animals. To the best of our knowledge this is also the position of all of our industrial suppliers.
Some of our products are marine based, we advise our NailPure range which is 6 free, vegan and Halal friendly.
For a list of international stockists please view our website: https://www.nailsinc.com/stockists-list/
Many thanks for your query
Best wishes,
The Nails inc Customer Service Team
Nails Inc confirmed that they do not test on animals and offer a vegan range.
After checking their international stockists list, I found that China and Russia are not on that list. Great news.
Their Wikipedia page states that Nails Inc have a store in Hong Kong. This isn’t a problem as animal testing ins’t required in this part of the world.
I replied to Nails Inc to ask for clarification regarding their suppliers. “To the best of our knowledge” does not convince me. Perhaps they do not check this requirement with their suppliers at all.
I am still awaiting a response.
Based on the information I gathered and the response from the company itself, I conclude that Nails Inc does not test their finished products on animals.
Because they didn’t convince me that they only use ethical ingredients, I cannot label this company as cruelty-free.
Conclusion: Uncertain aka Not Cruelty free
Nails Inc has been removed from my list of cruelty-free companies.
